Abel Korzeniowski is a Polish composer born in Kraków, Malopolskie, Poland on July 18, 1972. He graduated from the Music Academy in Cracow with a specialization in cello in 1996 and composition in 2000. His compositions have been performed at festivals in Poland, Germany, Slovakia, Moldavia, Ukraine and Belarus. He has composed music for numerous films, plays and documentaries, and has received several awards for his work, including the Creative Scholarship of the President of Cracow, the Golden Lions for the musical score to the film "Big Animal", the Ludwik Award for the score to "Kafka", and the Golden Knight Award for best composer for music for the film "Tomorrow's Weather". He also created a new score for Fritz Lang's "Metropolis" in 2004.
