Left-handed pitcher that was selected by the New York Mets during the first round of the 2016 Major League Draft. A few years later, he was acquired by the Toronto Blue Jays via trade in July 2019. Prior to being drafted, he played college baseball at the University of Connecticut.
He first began his professional career playing for the Columbia Fireflies. He was later sent to the St. Lucie Mets.
He made his official major league debut pitching against the Tampa Bay Rays on September 7, 2019, as a member of the Blue Jays. In his first three major league starts, he pitched against the Rays, New York Yankees, and Baltimore Orioles.
