Serbian movie actress popular for over 100 performances on stage and 50 in film across her 80 years in the industry. She was a UNICEF ambassador for creating a foundation for disabled children with her husband, titled the Branka and Mlađa Veselinović Fund. She passed away in February 2023 at the age of 104.
She studied at the National Theatre in Belgrade and the Serbian National Theatre in Novi Sad.
She could speak 7 languages: Russian, English, German, Czech, Hungarian, Slovenian, and Macedonian. She became the world's oldest living actress after Marsha Hunt passed away in September 2022, until her own death in February 2023.
Her father Aleksandar was a librarian, and her mother Jovanka was a teacher; she was one of their seven children. She married Mlađa Veselinović in 1948, and they remained together until his death in 2012.
She and actor Mija Aleksic were close friends. She was in the 1970 Mel Brooks film adaptation of Twelve Chairs.
