He studied at McGill and the University of Toronto, and left school one credit shy of his degree to train as an actor at the Lee Strasberg Institute in New York. He is well known for his role as Dr. Josh Gould in the hit TV series Naked Josh (2004) and for his performance as the hero Jake Hersh in the film adaptation of Mordechai Richler's St. Urbain's Horseman (2007). He won a Canadian Gemini Award for producing the critically acclaimed Camp Hollywood (2004). He moved to Los Angeles in 2008 and has since appeared in Weeds (Showtime), Touch, House of Lies, The Chicago 8, The Trotsky, and Noel. He currently lives in Los Angeles when not on location.
