Her first feature film appearance came in 1985 when she was cast as Suzanne Maxwell in the film Hot Target. She then earned recognition with a recurring role on the television series Young Hercules where she voiced the character Hera. She earned further recognition in 2005 when she was cast at Mrs. Macready in the 2005 film The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
Trivia
She was made an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit in the Queen's Birthday Honours in 2001 for her services to the arts of theatre and television.
