About
Turkish composer, musician, actor and writer. He has formed several renowned music groups, including Vitamin, whose first album 'Bol Vitamin' sold over 3,000,000 copies. In 1995, he released his first solo album, 'Sayenizde'. He then went on to start his own music company, Rec by Saatçi, and has composed and edited over 600 songs under that label.
Before Fame
He completed his high school education at Haydarpasa High School, where he studied mandolin, accordion, violin, and Turkish folk dancing. While he was there, he founded the group Ercan-Yavuz-Vahe in 1985, and they competed constantly in music competitions. After high school he became a student at the Istanbul Technical University Turkish Conservatory of Contemporary Music. While there, he became a TRT Eurovision finalist in 1988.
Trivia
In 2017, he opened Ercan Saatçi Akademi, the first private conservatory in Istanbul. It offers educational courses in many different forms of art, including music, theatre, and photography.
Family Life
From 1997-2009 he was married to producer Smile Ozkok. Together they had two children, Zeynep and Sinan Ali.
