He graduated from Ecole Polytechnique in 1906. His first job was in the Dominion Bridge Company's research department. He then became a student of Jean-Louis Pascal at Paris' École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts in 1909.

His works included the central building of the Universite de Montreal and two Roman Catholic churches for the Diocese of Providence, Rhode Island.
