Professional heavyweight, welterweight, middleweight, and light heavyweight mixed martial artist that primarily competes in Dana White's Ultimate Fighting Championships as a member of the LG System fight squad. Due to his body type, he is often referred to by his nickname "Malhadinho." He is a black belt in the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu fighting discipline.
He initially began learning mixed martial arts at the young age of six. Just five years later, he began training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
During the 2022-23 UFC fighting season, he earned three different "Performance of the Night" awards. This eventually led to him being ranked a top 10 heavyweight fighter in UFC. Ironically, he actually wanted to become a professional soccer player while growing up. He is quite tall, standing at 6'4".
As a kid, he grew up living with his family in Salvador, Brazil. He is one of 12 siblings.
