About
Crochet prodigy, philanthropist, and social media/television personality who has been featured in publications such as The New York Times and USA Today and on shows and news programs around the world. He is a news correspondent for The Drew Barrymore Show, he has authored books such as "Giving Back Crochet," and he has created numerous crochet kits available to the public. He sells his original creations through his business, Jonah's Hands, and boasts over 400,000 followers on his jonahhands Instagram account.
At just 5 years old, he began learning to crochet by watching YouTube videos. Within just a few years, his crocheted items were beating those made by much older and more experienced crocheters for blue ribbons at local fairs. He launched his business, Jonah's Hands, and authored his 1st book called "Hello, Crochet Friends!" when he was 11 years old.
His zealous dedication to philanthropy and giving back have helped him raise thousands of dollars to help children in the rural area of Ethiopia where he is originally from. These funds have sanctioned the building of a library and science lab for over 2,000 students, constructed suitable restroom facilities, and outfitted classrooms with desks for every child.
He was originally born in Ethiopia and his parents Jennifer and Christopher Larson adopted him when he was just a baby. He has an older brother named Leif and a younger sister named Mercy.
In January of 2023, he was featured on the Kid Creator Series of Good Morning America, where he spoke with hosts Michael Strahan, George Stephanopoulos, Robin Roberts, and Lara Spencer.
