Joselito Net Worth

Joselito, widely known as "The Little Nightingale", was a successful child star in Spain during Franco's dictatorship. He was born in Beas de Segura, Jaén, Andalucía, Spain in 1943, although some sources claim it was in 1947 due to false advertising by the studios. He was discovered as a singer by Luis Mariano and introduced to the movie business in 1956. He achieved great success in Europe and even in the USA, appearing on Ed Sullivan's show. However, his managers kept him as a child star for as long as possible, not allowing him to become a teenager. He retired from show business in 1969 and disappeared from public life until it was discovered he had become a heroin addict and worked as a mercenary in Africa. An attempt of a comeback as an adult proved unsuccessful and he now lives a quiet life in Utiel, Valencia, Spain.
