Biography/Timeline
Manny Stul was born in a German refugee camp to Polish-Jewish parents who were both Holocaust survivors, and had fled Poland in 1949 due to Communist rule. Aged seven months he travelled with his family by sea to Australia, where they spent three years in a refugee camp in Northam, 100 km north of Perth, and stayed there for three years, before moving to Perth.
In 2016, he became the first Australian to win the Ernst and Young World Entrepreneur of the Year, at the age of 67, having already won EY's Australian Entrepreneur of the Year.
In March 2017, Forbes estimated his net worth at US$1.4 billion.
