Mark Hurd has earned his net worth from his position of Co-president, director, and board member of Oracle Corporation and the past chairman, chief executive officer, and president of Hewlett-Packard. He resigned his positions at HP after an internal investigation on August 6, 2010, uncovered expense-account irregularities. Hurd holds a bachelor of business administration degree from Baylor University. He graduated in 1979 and he played tennis during college at Baylor. During his 25 year career at NCR Corporation, his leadership lead to successful improvement in operating efficiency, supported the product line and built a strong leadership team. He spent two-year tenure as chief executive officer and president. NCR's revenue was up by 7 percent over the previous year in 2004, and net income rose to $290 million. He began his working career at NCR in 1980, as a junior salesman in the San Antonio area and subsequently held a variety of positions including general management, operations, and sales & marketing.
