After his third year, Matt left Juilliard to take the lead role in Peter Yates' The Run of the Country. He went on to star in professional plays in New York and regionally, as well as in films such as Waiting for Guffman, The Last Days of Disco, Scream 3, and Art School Confidential. He also starred in the ABC Family series The Middleman.
