Entrepreneur, writer, editor, journalist, and television personality best known for co-founding the women's digital media company known as Mamamia, an Australian news, opinion, and lifestyle site directed towards women. She also gained fame when, at the age of 24, in 1996, she became the youngest-ever editor of Cosmopolitan Magazine's Australian edition.
She began working as a beauty editor and later as a features editor for Cleo Magazine when she was 19 years old. After leaving Cleo in 1995, she worked as a freelance features writer for magazines such as Marie Claire, New Weekly, and Who Weekly.
She is the author of several books including "The New Black," "Mama Mia: A Memoir of Mistakes, Magazines, and Motherhood," "Mia Culpa," and "Work Strife Balance."
She is the daughter of Laurence and Kathy Freedman. She married her husband, Jason Lavigne, in 1998, and together, they have 3 children.
