After graduating in 1982, he moved to Los Angeles and won the role of Bubba Beauregard in the 1983 film, "Private School." He then worked in films and television before moving back to New York in 1995. In 1998, he joined a Public Relations firm and married Shelly Friedland in 2000. They had two children, Jeremy and Diana, both of whom model and act. Michael now works as a stay at home father and occasionally auditions through his son's manager.
