Born Lee Min-young, she is a K-Pop singer, actress, and front-woman of the K-Pop girl group miss A. She is a star in South Korea and she also gained notoriety as the protege of rapper Lil Jon of The East Side Boyz.

Lee began performing at a very young age, acting on BoBoBo (the Korean Sesame Street), and later gaining success for her tween girls group, Little Winners, which were huge on YouTube. She signed with producer Park Jin-young's JYP Entertainment in 6th grade, over time becoming their longest working performer.

Her group, miss A, has won multiple awards since debuting in 2010, several of which went to their single "Bad Girl Good Girl" which won the KOMCA Music Dance Award in 2011.

After being signed by JYP, Min spent six years training as a performer in NYC. Her debut had been pushed back so many times that she became downtrodden and left the US. No one, not even her family, knew that she had returned to South Korea at the time.

During her time training for JYP in the US, she was mentored by famed rapper Lil Jon, known for hits like "Yeah" with Usher and Ludacris, and "Snap Yo Fingers." The songs of hers he oversaw were made available via her MySpace page.
