Contestants lip sync and dance to their favorite songs and are judged by a live studio audience, for the chance to win various prizes. Coleman won singing Jennifer Lopez's "Waiting for Tonight".
Coleman has danced on the Soul Train Awards, appeared four times on the BET Awards with artists such as 50 Cent and Sean Combs, and performed on the American Music Awards of 2004 with Kanye West. In 2007 and 2008, she appeared as a lead Dancer in sketches for the late night show Jimmy Kimmel Live! In 2008, she choreographed and danced in the music video "Lolli Lolli (Pop That Body)", for Academy Award-winning rap group Three 6 Mafia.
