Robinson was drafted #10 overall in the 1990 NBA Draft by the Atlanta Hawks. He played for the Hawks until 1992 and then played for the New Jersey Nets from 1992 to 1993, Charlotte Hornets from 1993 to 1994, Portland Trail Blazers in 1996, Los Angeles Lakers from 1996 to 1997, and Phoenix Suns and Trail Blazers in 1997.
