South Korean singer and songwriter who found success as a member of the eclectic and influential group Seo Taiji and Boys. The band debuted in 1992 with their single "I Know," which was honored at the 3rd Seoul Music Awards. In 1998, he released his debut solo album, Seo Tai Ji.
Before forming Seo Taiji and Boys, he briefly played bass guitar for the heavy metal band Sinawe.
His song "Ultramania" won the Mnet Asian Music Award for Best Band Performance in 2000. His seotaiji YouTube channel, which features concert videos, has racked up more than 100,000 subscribers.
He and actress Lee Eun-sung tied the knot in 2013. They welcomed their first child in 2014.
He and Yang Hyun-suk performed together in Seo Taiji and Boys.
