Perhaps most well known for his recurring role as Timmy Joe Galvin in the BBC Northern Ireland series Ballykissangel, he is also notable for his work in the films The Agent (2008) and Private Peaceful (2012), as well as for his portrayal of Ian Craig in the BBC Radio 4 program The Archers.

Before beginning his work as a stage and screen actor, he pursued a career as a breakdancer. He first appeared on screen in the 1993 TV movie The Snapper and went on to guest star in two 1995 episodes of The Hanging Gale.
