American keyboardist, songwriter, singer, producer, and author who is known for his contribution to the rock band Kansas. Prior to joining Kansas, he was a member of The Sea Within and Spiraling rock groups, among collaborating with many other individual artists throughout his career.
He attended William Paterson University, where he studied classical and jazz piano. Although Kansas rose to popularity in the 1970's, he wasn't announced as keyboardist until 2018.
He has toured and recorded with the bands Yes and Meat Loaf, but also individuals like Debbie Harry.
He was the youngest of five children, and his older siblings introduced him to music at a young age.
He was a member of the band at the same time as Phil Ehart and Billy Greer.
