Television and radio personality, professional dancer, choreographer, and educator most widely recognized for acting as the jury chairman on the TV4 reality competition series Let's Dance. He formerly hosted the Äntligen Lördag radio show and podcast, and he performed with Viking Cruise line. His teaching career, through which he instructs fitness, sports, and social-related dance styles, spans over several decades, and he is the founder of the Tony Irving Dance Academy in Stockholm.
He relocated from his home country of England to Sweden in 1993. He subsequently earned a position as a judge for the Swedish Ballroom Dancing Championship. He has competed as a professional sports dancer in both England and Sweden, as well as the United States. He earned the Swedish Championship title in professional dance in both 2001 and 2002.
He has authored several books including "Move Your Ass," "Tony Irving 10," and the autobiography "Life, Love, and Passion." The latter was co-written by Linda Newhamm.
He married his husband Alexander Skiöldsparr on August 1, 2015.
He has been a judge on Let's Dance, the Swedish version of Dancing with the Stars, since its very first season. During Season six, dancer Isabel Edvardsson was also a judge. The show has been emceed by hosts like David Hellenius and Agneta Sjodin.
