Known for a radical feminist work titled the SCUM Manifesto, this twentieth-century Writer is perhaps best remembered as the would-be Assassin of her acquaintance and sometimes artistic collaborator Andy Warhol. After she shot Warhol, he was able to recover through emergency surgery.

Family Life
Born in New Jersey to a family of Spanish and Italian heritage, she moved to New York City in the 1960s. In the early 1950s, she gave birth to a son who was immediately put up for adoption by social services.
